About Us

About Me!

Hello there! My name is Tara, and I'm excited to tell you a little bit about myself and my business. I'm passionate about providing the best care for dogs. That's why I started my business in October of 2021, which is named after my furry friend a Working Cocker spaniel, Nala. The reason behind starting my business was simple: I noticed that Nala was not receiving the kind of walks that would benefit her. This led me to realize that other dog owners might also need a bespoke service that caters to their dog's individual needs also, and so my business was born.

My main aim is to provide exceptional services to other dog parents and ensure that their dogs are well taken care of both mentally and physically. As a dog lover, I'm always looking for ways to improve and learn more about how enrich their lifes. I believe that dogs are not just pets, but they're part of our families, and they deserve the best care possible. That's why I continually strive to learn and understand more about how to improve their lives and make them happier.

Enrichment-led dog walking is based on the principles of providing dogs with a more fulfilling and stimulating experience during their walks. Some of the core values around enrichment-led dog walking include:

  • Engagement: Enrichment-led dog walking focuses on providing dogs with interactive and engaging experiences during their walks. This means that I encourage the dog to explore their environment, play games, and interact with other dogs and people in a positive and safe way.
  • Safety: Safety is a top priority when it comes to enrichment-led dog walking. I always ensure that the dog is on a secure leash, avoid areas where the dog could be exposed to dangerous situations, and be prepared to respond quickly if any potential risks arise.
  • Health and well-being: Enrichment-led dog walking is also focused on promoting the health and well-being of the dog. This includes ensuring that the dog gets enough exercise, has access to water and shade, and is not over-exerted during the walk. I also make any notes on any specific health needs or concerns of the dog and take appropriate measures to address them.
  • Environmental responsibility: Enrichment-led dog walking is mindful of the impact that dogs can have on the environment. I ensure to pick up after the dog and dispose of waste properly, avoid sensitive areas such as wildlife habitats, and minimize any disturbances to the natural environment.
  • Positive reinforcement: Enrichment-led dog walking is based on the principles of positive reinforcement, which means rewarding good behavior and avoiding punishment or negative reinforcement. I only use positive reinforcement techniques such as treats, praise, and play to encourage good behavior and discourage unwanted behavior.
